President Biden’s program intends to Gaslight American Voters

(May 7, 2024) As Israeli tanks rumbled through Rafa terrorizing 1.5 million starving Palestinians, President Biden mounted a podium in the U.S. Capitol to commemorate the Holocaust Days of Remembrance for 6 million Jews killed by the Nazis. The Israeli tanks are armed with U.S.-supplied tank shells. These and other U.S.-supplied munitions and bombs have killed over 34,000 Palestinians, and more would die as Biden spoke.
Biden’s View of the Holocaust:
In his talk, Biden proposed that we remember an already completed holocaust while ignoring the U.S. government’s complicity in an ongoing one.

Biden’s support for genocide in Gaza is immoral and undermines democracy in the U.S. The US/Israeli war on the Palestinian people costs taxpayers billions of dollars and benefits the arms industry at the expense of our schools, healthcare, and environment.
Who Benefits from War ?
Modern war benefits the few at the expense of the many. This is what Biden, the Democrats, and the Republicans are trying to hide with their bald-faced lies about fighting anti-Semitism. There is no democratic justification for genocide, only an authoritarian one.
Biden tried to cover this up in his speech by merging antisemitism and anti-Zionism. Anti-Semitism is hatred for people of Jewish descent and is distinct from political criticism of Israel sometimes labeled anti-Zionism. By mixing up the two, Biden is trying to delegitimatize political criticism of Israel and to discredit students protesting genocide in Gaza.

This is not just idle talk. The deliberate comparison of anti-Semitism with anti-Zionism is being translated into federal guidelines for education about the Jewish Holocaust that lacks any mention of the Gaza genocide, and the U.S. role in that genocide. This course of action will not diminish anti-Semitism in America.
Today, violent anti-Semites have found a home in Trump’s Presidential campaign and are entering the mainstream political debate. This represents a grave threat not only to American Jews but to all Americans. The US/Israeli war on the Palestinian people shows that this is beyond the capacity of both major political parties that champion the interests of those prosecuting genocide in Gaza. It can only be defeated by a political force that champions “justice for all.”
