High School Students:

Naturally, the corporate media do not want to cover this new phenomenon, but high school students are definitely joining the wave of University Protests about Genocide in Gaza. March on DNC:

This development is only beginning. The Democratic Party convention will be in Chicago in August. Many K-12 schools now begin the school year in August. So high school students will be in school when the very predictable demonstrations erupt. They will be ready to go.

We can see the direction where all this is headed if we look at the lived experience of the college seniors who are graduating in the midst of Zionist Genocide. Gaza – Palestine is a profoundly moral question. The youth will always come down on the side of truth.

College Seniors:

Today’s graduating college seniors were born around 9/11 in 2001. They went through the 2008 collapse and plenty of cop killings. They were graduating high school seniors in 2018 when the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas HS mass shooting took place. They entered university as COVID hit. They were active in the George Floyd Rebellion in 2020. Their lived experience is not the American Dream. The capitalists have withdrawn the economic bribe that the Boomer generation received. it has been one collapse after another. The graduating college seniors are the tip of the iceberg.

With Palestine, no one buys the official line

that the US is the defender of freedom and democracy.

These graduates are an essential part of a new displaced proletarian class. Muslims are a fundamental section of our working class and internal to the new abolitionist class. During the Vietnam War, this was not the case. Back then people also demonstrated against genocide.

Gig Economy:

Graduates have grown up as the Gig economy has grown up. They must try to survive in it. They were born into crisis after crisis. They reject capitalist “hegemony” and “legitimacy” and do not buy their propaganda. They are powerfully motivated by the climate crisis. These students have lots of experience in the practical struggle.

New Generation:

Our new generations who are stepping onto the political stage have developed real emotional intelligence. They abhor shaming of all kinds. They are highly inclusive. They articulate that they WILL be fully human and demand the government guarantee this. They are using social media as a weapon in their fight. They are hungry for knowledge and the experience of history.

With George Floyd, they targeted the state; with Israel’s support, they targeted the military budget, i.e., the state. We are watching the development of creative extra-legal and extra-electoral tactics.

Certainly, the UN would not have suddenly called for statehood for Palestine if this massive wave of university protests had not occurred. We are learning that we can indeed take the strategic offensive against a decaying system with real programmatic politics!

Corporate Private Property:

There is a force within society whose labor is now being replaced and whose very existence depends on abolishing the corporate private property relations that are now the economic foundation for relations among people. Abolition of private property in land, technology, and infrastructure is the practical interest and actual program of this emerging class, and ultimately of the entire working class and humanity itself. This displaced class is an abolitionist class. (Political Resolution of the League)
