Join our Conversation with Revolutionaries to discuss these urgent questions:
- How are our personal fears, anxieties, and sense of security affected by + connected to our unity and collective political struggle?
- What does it mean that we are living in a class society with a multiracial, multinational, and multigender working class?
- Are we in a class war? What does this mean concretely?
What in the hell is going on?
This is what Class War looks like + feels like
Warren Buffet warned us, “There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.” The class war between the capitalists and the workers is a continuing story throughout US history. Today the class war is in plain sight. Two billionaires are the representatives of the ruling class, and the unelected richest man in the world is clearly in charge. They are taking a wrecking ball to government workers, institutions, and agencies. And the workers are the ones paying the price for the “so called government waste, fraud, and corruption.” This is just the beginning.
We, the working class, must become conscious of ourselves as a class. As workers, we have to recognize that we are a multiracial, multinational, multigendered class, and that our unity is essential for our struggle. Workers are awakening to the present danger – resisting, organizing, studying, striking, taking it to the streets, and taking it to the courts, etc. The next step is developing class consciousness – becoming a political force as a united working class in our own interests. Our very survival as workers and humanity, and the survival of the planet and all life depends upon the working class defeating fascism in today’s ongoing class war. This is the first step toward winning and holding our victory for the reconstruction of a cooperative and collective society. This transformation is both necessary and possible.
