Changing the salesperson but not the product
President Biden is not going to run for another term. The corporate owners of the Democratic party and their paid political representatives hailed this as a heroic step and then put Vice President Kamala Harris in his place. The American people had no voice in the process. Has anything really changed?
What are We Voting for? Every 4 years, the American people have the chance to elect a new president, who leads a government that protects the capitalist owners. The choice we have is between two representatives of the Capitalist class. We need government to provide for basic human needs. Not wars. The key issues for them are how best to maintain the private property system and how to optimize wealth.
What will Harris Change? Like Trump and Biden, Harris will be a salesperson for the Capitalists. If one is removed, there are other people ready to take their place. Biden replaced by Harris and JD Vance is ready to replace Trump. While the face of the leadership may change, its essence does not.
Trump -vs- Harris are Bad Cop, Good Cop Team. Both are cops and protect the state and both are helping fascism develop in the US. The only difference is how fast it will happen. Trump/Vance will enforce Project 2025 on their first day in office. Harris and the corporate Democrats rail against Project 2025 but allow the Supreme Court to slowly make it a reality. Corporate control of the Democrats means that they preach not to fight. These are the politics of conciliation, not the fight to win!
The Answer is not Changing the Salesperson, it is Changing the System. We do not yet have the political power to advance our most basic human needs. But there is a way for the working class, who are the majority, to capture state power:
