The League’s Digital Media ToolKit
This is the first version of this guide and toolkit and will be updated as we get feedback and meet with areas and collectives.
This toolkit will help The League meet the following goals:
- Increase social media followers
- Standardize/organize League events
- Use a cohesive + aesthetically pleasing design strategy throughout the org
- Increase event evaluation
- Start to create a plan for engaging new revolutionaries in the organization
2 months before your event:
- Use the event submission form to get your event on a shared League calendar. This will help us all to know what is happening in other collectives and areas and so that we are not scheduling events at the same time.
- Work with RevTech to create art to promote your event using high resolution League logos and in the correct format for our various social media platforms. contact: theleagueofrevolutionaries@gmail.com
- Optional: work with RevTech to create a short video (ideally, under 1 minute, no more than 3 minutes) to promote your event. Example Video 1 Example Video 2
6 weeks before your event:
- Work with RevTech and Digital Media Task Force (DMTF) to create materials for the website and email. contact: theleagueofrevolutionaries@gmail.com
2 – 3 weeks before your event:
- Use The League Slideshow template (work-in-progress) to create visual materials for your event. (If you think you’ll need help from RevTech, do this at least 3 weeks before your event.)
- Review and use the Zoom Best Practices checklist (coming soon) to make sure you are prepared for your event (both technically and with event content.)
- Request a template of the event evaluation form from theleagueofrevolutionaries@gmail.com. Edit that template or use the one provided. Example Evaluation. Video instructions here: https://watch.screencastify.com/v/2o1lXK0g12tCc5uiJxnh
Within a week after the event:
- Review evaluations as a collective/area. Video instructions here: https://watch.screencastify.com/v/2o1lXK0g12tCc5uiJxnh
- Reach out to people that are interested in the League. sample emails
