History Lies in All of Our Hands

On Sunday, July 14, President Biden told the American people that “the power to change America should always rest in the hands of the people, not in the hands of a would-be assassin.”¹ We agree, a single person does not make history.

The History of the World is Class Struggle.² In the US, the enslaved, free, and immigrant people who must work to live created the wealth of our country, which was stolen by the class of people (capitalists) who own and profit from the productive forces.

What Are We Voting for? Every 4 years, the American people have the chance to elect a new president, who leads a government that protects the capitalist owners. The choice we have is between two representatives of the Capitalist class. The key issues are how best to maintain the private property system and how to optimize wealth.

Trump and Biden are just Two Salesmen for the Capitalists. If they are removed, there are other people ready to take their place. While the face of the leadership may change, its essence does not.

Trump and Biden are a Bad Cop Good Cop Team. They are both cops and protect the state. They are both facilitating fascism. The only difference is how fast it will happen. Biden rails against Project 2025 but does nothing to resist when the Supreme Court gives the President immunity from the rule of law, a definite step toward fascism. Trump will use this law on his first day in office.

The Answer is Changing the System and not getting Rid of an Individual Salesman.
