LOCK THEM ALL UP

The spectacle of Trump being charged mirrors the crisis we face in America. Trump is charged with “White Collar Crimes”, which are really “Corporate Crimes.” These are violent crimes committed against the working, poor and disposed people of America and the world.

While the government, police, courts and corporate press focus on street crime and violence committed by individuals, the Capitalists as a class commit far more violent and deadly crimes.

Hunger is violence

Houselessness is violence

Slaughtering our children and teachers is violence

Denial of the essential human rights is violence

Destroying the environment is violence

While the State-run police and courts fill up prisons with working, poor and disposed people, the real criminals go untouched. The Bomb Train in East Palestine is not considered a crime, even though the train was being operated in violation of regulations. Evictions by corporate owners lead to horrible mass violence, yet this violence is protected by the police! The Sackler family can distribute opioids that took tens of thousands of lives, yet they are legally protected from criminal prosecution. This is White Collar Corporate Crime.

The corporate press tells us that Trump’s arrest and criminal charges show that “no one is above the law.” But we know that this government will not bring him to trial on the crimes he committed against the American people, the people of the world and the planet itself. Indeed, while the news concentrated on Trump, Biden followed in Trump’s footsteps reducing medical and food assistance the poor and disposed.

If we want real justice, we need to learn how to develop political power for:

winning a government that takes care of people first. Ultimately this requires public ownership of the means to create wealth – the land, infrastructure, and technology – and distribution according to need. The fight for basic needs propels every other social struggle, because none of society’s social, moral, or ecological problems can be solved as long as the private property system exists.
