Gaza: Global Day of Action

On January 13, hundreds of thousands of people throughout the world joined together in a “Global Day of Action” to demand an end to Israeli aggression against the people of Gaza and for justice for the Palestinian people. One united voice echoed in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Johannesburg, Amman, Paris, Vienna, Berlin, Rome, Milan, Dublin and London. Thousands of Americans joined, participating in the “March for Gaza” in Washington, DC.

The working, poor, and displaced people of the world are uniting to demand justice, peace, and equality. Our time is coming!

The world is changing. It changed with the 9/11 attacks on the Twin Towers. All who were present in the US at that time understood this immediately. Gaza is another such moment. The implications are vast. 

 The US covers its participation in Israeli-led genocide by claiming that it supports freedom and democracy. The veil has been stripped from the government lies revealing that US militarists have supplied every bomb dropped on Gaza. Gaza is a graveyard for children. The entire world recognizes this, all humanity recoils in horror and cries “Enough is Enough, Justice for the Palestinian People.”

But it goes much further. In the face of Climate Catastrophe and other crises, US ruling class offers nothing except… bombing civilians. Behind the veil of “freedom and democracy”, people everywhere now see that Gaza is the future that capitalism promises us. Just as in Gaza, climate, political, and economic refugees grab what they can carry and start walking. Consider – what exactly happens in our country to all the people displaced and made homeless? Where are they now?

 Gaza has stripped the veil from the US government exposing that it wages war against people everywhere, including in the US, in order to benefit a tiny few.  

The goal of the ruling class is to normalize suffering, hunger, and abuse in order to protect private property. But the world is uniting, the lines are being drawn, our time is coming!
