GAZA WAR: U.S. Risks War in the Middle East while Attacking Democracy at Home

GAZA WAR:

U.S. risks war in the Middle East

while attacking Democracy at home

On  January 28 three American soldiers were killed and many more wounded by a drone attack on a U.S. military outpost in Jordan. There have been over 170 non-lethal attacks on other U.S. bases across Jordan, Syria, and Iraq since the Hamas-Israeli war began on October 7, 2023.

Why is this happening?

Many governments and resistance movements are enraged by the conduct of the Israeli Defense Force that is carpet bombing 2.3 million Palestinians confined to a concentration camp in Gaza, killing thousands including women and children. The U.S. role in this genocidal massacre was summed up by retired Israeli general Yitzhak Brick:

“All of our missiles, the ammunition, the precision-guided bombs, all the airplanes and bombs, it’s all from the U.S. The minute they turn off the tap, you can’t keep fighting… Everyone understands that we can’t fight this war without the United States. Period.”

The Gaza War Machine is ‘Made in the USA’ at: https://rally-theleague.org/gaza-war-machine-made-in-usa/. This is why America’s armed forces stationed in the region have come under attack.

The majority of Americans don’t want war in the Middle East, and strongly oppose genocide. However, opposing these policies by voting against President Biden in the upcoming November 2024 election poses the risk of a fascist takeover of the entire U.S. government. As voters we are caught between fascism on one side, and war and genocide on the other. Both alternatives are unacceptable.

Capitalism needs war and both of the Capitalist parties will lead us to destruction. The way forward is to fight against fascism, genocide, and war by building a political alternative based on working-class unity. We demand peace and prosperity. We demand life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, fresh air, clean water, jobs, healthcare, housing, and education. Stop funding war, stop burning fossil fuels, and start building a peaceful and sustainable world that is both possible and necessary.
