Pro-Palestinian Protests: Bidens Promises Bombs not Peace

Pro-Palestinian Protests

STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS

Bidens Promises Bombs not Peace

It is a short drive from the White House to Capitol Hill. Last night, the direct route was blocked by Pro-Palestinian protestors forcing Biden’s motorcade to take another route. One of the organizers of the demonstration, Elena Stein of the Jewish Voice for Peace, told Rolling Stone,

We are outraged, we are heartbroken, and we are demanding that President Biden stop funding and arming Israel’s genocide of Palestinians.”

In his State of the Union address, Biden responded to the American people demanding peace and justice in Gaza, to the growing Uncommitted voters, to the demonstrators and to the people of world. He used less than 5 minutes of his 90-minute speech to restate that he is not opposed to what Israel is doing, just a little upset by how they are doing it. He looked directly into the camera and into our homes and told us that he is not listening and does not care.

Biden did not tell us that since October, the US has delivered thousands of precision-guided munitions, small-diameter bombs, bunker busters, small arms and other lethal aid to Israel. There were over 100 separate foreign military sales to Israel and only two were made public! www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2024/03/06/us-weapons-israel-gaza/

Biden did not tell us that for 5 months the US government has remained silent while Israel laid siege to Gaza cutting off food, water, fuel and medical supplies, destroying homes, schools and hospitals. Yesterday, with the American people and world up in arms over rising starvation and cruel deaths in Gaza, Biden expressed sadness at the suffering and ordered the US military to build a temporary pier off the Gaza coast in order to help deliver humanitarian aid.

This is a stunt to save his image rather than an actual intent to save lives,” Stein said. “If Biden wanted to save lives, we would not be on Day 150 of Israel dropping U.S.-made bombs on the people of Gaza.”

Last night people protested the state of our union in the streets of Washington, DC, Boston, and LA demanding peace and justice. It is up to us to continue the “March Towards Freedom”.
